Abstract

Seismic interpretation result with high accuracy relies on the satisfactory seismic data with high resolution. So a lot of attention is being drawn to the research of seismic data resolution enhancing method. While how to know the fidelity and usability of the resolution enhanced seismic data? In this paper, we propose a simple but effective method to evaluate that. Firstly we analyze the practicability from the method's principle, then check if the seismic bandwidth has been effectively widened, thirdly analyze if the result is usable for enhancing the resolution of impedance inversion and attributes extraction, finally adopt jointly analysis by vertical sections and lateral horizon slices to estimate the fidelity and usability of resolution enhanced data.
