Abstract

We present a hydrothermal synthesis of VS2 nanoflowers with the average thicknesses of about 150 nm. The ultrathin nanosheets with the average thicknesses of about 8 nm are achieved by a simple chemical exfoliation method. We examine the ferromagnetic property of the two samples. The Low temperature ferromagnetism of the samples is found. We find that as the number of layers is increased from nanosheets to nanoflowers, the Curie temperature will decrease from 72 K to 10 K.
