Abstract

This paper modeled a contact nonlinear finite element model for bolt-joint group. Then the elastic interaction for bolt-joint group under different preloading sequences and preloading force was further explored and analyzed. The results show that: 1) the elastic interaction for bolt-joint group is closely related to preloading sequences, for long rectangle connected plates, symmetrical joint along long direction can make the connection most uniform and tightest. 2) The elastic interaction can be modeled using data of finite element analysis, with which the initial preloading force can be obtained to achieve the goal of residual stress distribution. The results of this research provide a reference for assembly designing and optimization for bolt-joint group.
