Abstract

Photovoltaic generation unit usually lacks reasonable capability in active balance and regulation. This paper aims to solve the problem to enhance the capability of solar energy in actively supporting the grid. Therefore, a control strategy called photovoltaic generator is used, which imitates power conversion in synchronous generator and identifies control loops in dc and ac sides. With the proposed strategy, the two-stage PV inverter can support the voltage and frequency of grid and adjust its produced power equal to load demands, and hence reduce the high reliance on storage. The simulation results verify the effectiveness of the proposed strategy.
