Abstract

In this paper, the microstructure of MgAl-layered-double-hydroxides (MgAlLDHs) was adjusted by one-step hydrothermal method, and the MgAlLDHs with various stacking structures were prepared successfully. It is found that the different stacking structures have significant effects on the microwave absorption performance of LDHs. The minimum reflection loss (RL) of the solid microsphere LDHs is 63% higher than that of the layered LDHs, and the effective absorption bandwidth (EAB) is also increased from 1 GHz to 2.50 GHz. The results show that adjusting the microstructure and morphology of the material is an effective way to improve microwave absorption performance.
