Experimental study on steam injector with central steam nozzle arrangement

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

Steam injector with central steam nozzle arrangement is investigated experimentally. The inlet steam and water pressure are in the range of 0.15~0.4 MPa and 0.2~0.6 MPa, respectively, and the steam nozzle to water nozzle area ratio is in the range of 0.5~9.0. The results indicate that the lifting-pressure performance increases first, and then decreases with the area ratio. The optimal value of area ratio increases with inlet water pressure and decreases with inlet steam pressure. Moreover, the steam consumption rate of steam is studied. An optimal value of steam consumption rate is also found, and it increases with inlet steam pressure and decreases with inlet water pressure.
