Abstract

Experiment was conducted to investigate the operation characteristics of a constant temperature and humidity air-conditioner with electricity heating, serial and parallel connection condensing heat recovering. The influence of setting value of temperature and relative humidity on the control accuracy was analyzed. Comparison of the power consumption for the air conditioner using the three heating ways was performed. The methods for improving the control accuracy of constant temperature and humidity air-conditioner with condensing heat recovered were also discussed. The experimental results show that the temperature and humidity control accuracy with electricity heating mode is the highest, while the energy consumption is the greatest. By adopting condensing heat recovered, the power consumption of the constant temperature and humidity air-conditioner can be reduced by about 30%. The energy consumption with the parallel connection mode is slightly lower than that with the serial connection mode. When the setting value of temperature and relative humidity is 18-28°Cand 45%-70%, the control accuracy with the parallel connection mode can be in the range of ±1°C for temperature and ±8% for relative humidity. With the serial connection mode, when the setting temperature is below 18°C, the system control of the temperature and humidity can not reach the accuracy required. However, the control accuracy is improved obviously and is higher than that with the parallel connection type when the temperature is higher than 23°C.
