Abstract

Based on the principle that a large electric energy is absorbed during the transformation from an antiferroelectric phase to a ferroelectric phase, the regulation of electric pulse by antiferroelectric adjuster is studied. The operation voltage was applied as a rectangular pulse of 50 kV amplitude and 3.75 μs width, and the antiferroelectric adjuster was made up by lead zirconate stannate titannate ceramics. Experimental results displayed that the electrical pulse crest at rising edge was undercut, and the trough at trailing edge was padded, and the electrical pulse was smoothed expectably. The measured electric hysteresis loop indicated that the transformation between antiferroelectric and ferroelectric phase took place by the action of the voltage pulse.
