Abstract
For the oil monitoring techniques based on analyzing the wear-off particles, a key problem is how to get the characteristic parameters representing the changes of wear condition and classification of wear extent from the statistic information on the wear-off particles. Several base lines for distinguishing the wear extent were established, and a revised grey predictive model for estimating the wear tendency was developed according to the wear-off particles' statistic information obtained from DL, Ds value of spectrometric analyzing the wear-off particles obtained in the monitoring experiment of 8NVD48A-2U diesel engine under running condition. The Predictive model has already been used to monitor the 8NVD48A-2U diesel engine with good effect.
