Abstract
Plasma aerodynamic actuator exerts significant impact on plasma flow control. Induced gas flow velocity is an important parameter for indicating plasma flow control capability and scaling performance of the plasma aerodynamic actuator. This paper experimentally investigates the effects of electrode's width and thickness, gap in electrode couple, dielectric constant and thickness of dielectric material on the induced gas flow velocity. The results show that a plasma aerodynamic actuator having thinner dielectric material with appropriate dielectric constant, wider and thinner electrode, appropriate gap in electrode couple can accelerate the induced gas flow velocity.
