Abstract

To research the demand of gasification temperature in different stages, the system of the sectional heating gasifier was proposed for the first time in global warming and resource shortage nowadays. When ER was 0.28 in the oxidizing stage, the experimental results indicated that: the LHV was 4200-4600 kJ/m3, η was 62-65%, and the average volume fraction of O2, CO2, H2, CO, NO, NOX, and SO2 in the stable gasification was 4.5%, 10.2%, 14.5%, 23.5%, 0.024%, 0.025% and 0.032%, respectively. The numerical results indicated that: the temperature, concentration distributing (CO, CH4, H2), carbon conversion efficiency, LHV of the gas fuel, gasification efficiency vary in the range of 612.24°C, CO 16.01%, CH4 3.96%, H2 13.82%, 75.1%, 4201 kJ/Nm3, 57.56%. These results indicated the flue gas was satisfied with the requirement of urban gas, and the gasification efficiency was improved than downdraft gasifier.
