Abstract

In this study, an attempt was made to obtain the change in lattice constant with ageing in the martensite phase, together with the B2-phase, for furnace-cooled (FC) and water-quenched (WQ) samples of Au-49.8Cd (c = 0.498) alloy. The vacancy migration and thus, the long-range ordering were predicted. Further, the change in long-range order (LRO) was directly determined by measuring the integrated intensity.
