Abstract
A new evolutionary optimization method of power system unit commitment problem, System Evolutionary Optimization Method (SEO), was presented which is more flexible and robust than conventional methods and can solve the problem of high dimension, non-convex, discrete and non-linear. Based on the methodology presented in the paper, different SEOs can be designed according to specific problems and provide new ways to system planning and operational optimization.
