Abstract
Gradient structure tensor is extensively used in attributes extraction, such as dip, azimuth, and discontinuity detection. However, the existing faults and other discontinuous structures would affect the precision of dip/azimuth estimation. In this abstract, we propose to combine gradient structure and multi-window technology to estimate the dip and azimuth. The results of synthetic example and field-data example show the correctness and validity of our method.
