Abstract

The tunnellining generally consists of tens of thousands of segment rings. In order to reduce the energy consumption of segment erecting process, an energy-saving technology was proposed based on erecting parameters optimization. Taking a Φ3.2 m test shield tunneling machine as the research subject, the mathematical models of doing work and energy distribution during its segment erector finished the positioning work of segments at different positions were built up based on motion and force analysis of each degree of freedom. When energy consumption and appointed position were treated as the optimization objective and constraint respectively, the erecting parameters determination method and selecting principle were obtained by means of solving the problem of energy consumption optimization. The energy consumed during the segment positioning process with three different sets of erecting parameters were calculated, and the calculating result indicated that 4% energy could be saved when the energy-saving method was employed. Taking the whole tunnel lining into consideration, the energy saving effect will be more pronounced.
