Abstract
Gold colloidal triangular nanoplates with average edge length 40 nm have been synthesized via an electrochemical method. When the resulting solution has been aged at room temperature, these gold triangular nanoplates organized spontaneously into rhombic nanostructures. We believe that the electrostatic effect plays an important role in this self-organization.
