Abstract

In order to investigate the electric properties of the polyimide in electric field, a kind of nano-hybrid polyimide/silica film was prepared through sol-gel reaction. The films were run by immersing into the dei-onized water for 24 hours. The effects of the inorganic component SiO2 and water on electric properties of the film were discussed. The surface morphology of the film was characterized by atomic force morphology. Results showed that incorporating inorganic moiety into polymer resin and the character of interface between the two phases had great effects on the electric properties of the hybrid film. And the compact microstructure between the organic and inorganic phases formed by introducing the coupling agent into the composite system had a certain effect on the electric properties.
