Abstract
OBJECTIVE: To investigate the mechanism of enhancing wound healing by taspine hydrochloride (TA). METHODS: Fibroblasts were cultured in vitro, and TA was applied with different concentrations (0.05,0.1,0.2,0.4 and 0.5 μg·mL-1) and time (24,48 and 72 h) to influence their autocrine. The levels of transforming growth factor-β1 (TGF-β1) and epidermal growth factor (EGF) were determined by enzyme-linked immunoadsorbent assay (ELIAS). RESULTS: TA increased autocrine of TGF-β1 and EGF by fibroblasts, the action was reinforced with the increasing TA concentration and the extending of time. CONCLUSION: The above results indicated that TA increased autocrining of TGF-β1 and EGF, and accelerated the chemotaxis of fibroblast and inflammation cell, the deposition of extracellular matrix and wound healing.
