Abstract
Based on the study of the flow maldistribution in plate-fin heat exchanger, the effect of staggered perforated plate header configuration on outlet flow and heat transfer in plate-fin heat exchangers was experimentally studied. Compared with the ordinary header, the experimental results show that staggered perforated plate header greatly improves the distribution of outlet flow and outlet temperature. The maldistribution of the distribution can obviously drop under Re=2000, and the improvement of temperature distribution is more efficient especially under higher Re number.
