Abstract

The dielectric ring thickness of pinch-reflex ion diode was roughly calculated. The effect of dielectric ring thickness of 200 kV pinch-reflex ion diode on the ion beams and diode electric parameters were experimentally studied. The experimental results show that when the dielectric ring thickness is in the range of 2-3 mm, the accelerator system can work in good condition with high ion beam and total beam currents.
