Abstract

Because of the uncertainty of renewable energy generation and load, the battery is applied as the energy storage device to ensure the safe and reliable operation of microgrid. An economic dispatch model considering the lifetime of battery is built to take its full advantage for improving the economy of microgrid and the mixed integer linear programming algorithm is adopted to solve the model. As an example, the economic dispatch optimization is carried out for a grid-connected microgrid with wind turbine, photovoltaic cell, battery, micro gas turbine, diesel engine and fuel cell to verify the effectiveness of the proposed model.
