Economic diagnostic method of thermal system with outer steam cooler

Based on the strict theoretical and mathematical analyses, a general function for calculating the equivalent enthalpy drops of steam power unit with outer steam cooler was developed and an economic diagnostic method was set up. The mathematical models for the part thermal system with double outer steam coolers and the mathematical models for the part thermal system with parallel connection of outer steam cooler were given. The temperature of feedwater can be raised due to the use of outer steam cooler. According to the calculating results of practical examples, the method is proved to be simple, accurate and valuable for application.
