Abstract

In this paper, a web-service-based reference framework to e-formalize the manufacturing facilities, cells, workshops, and factories is given. By means of developing a task-driven decision-making mechanism, an extended enterprise can be shaped dynamically and then a dynamic e-supply chain can be explored with the algorithm given. Furthermore, the key points to implement the e-manufacturing, like visualization, communication, collaboration, etc, are identified.
