Abstract

A model of the positioning of the paper cutting machine driven by double-speed braked motor and a simulation system based on MATLAB are presented. Furthermore, the kinetics of the position feed system of numerical control paper cutting machine is studied in detail by comparing the measuring data with those of the simulation. This work provides a theoretical base for further study and improvement of the position precision of this kind of position systems. The simulation results show that the errors of this model are less than 0.4 mm. The work will provide important guide for the design of other kinds of position systems driven by double-speed braked motors.
