Abstract

A dual band frequency selective surface (FSS) based on circular aperture-coupled patches is presented. The technique is based on using two same structures with different sizes. A special topology is proposed to arrange the two different sizes structures. Each structure is composed of two circular patches and a circular coupling aperture. The dual band FSS has a second-order band pass responses at each band of operation and owes its advantages to high selectivity and stable performance for both various incident angles and different polarizations.
