abstract = "This paper proposes a dual-band dual antenna pair suitable for 5G mobile terminal with metallic bezels. The proposed antenna consists of a split on the metallic bezel and a slot on the main ground plane. Two orthogonal modes are excited through a Y-shaped feeding network and an end-shorted microstrip line. The proposed dual-band dual antenna pair with the volume of 25×7×2.5 mm3 operates at partial N78 and N79 bands of 3.33.6 GHz and 4.65.0 GHz. The simulated results show that the -6 dB operation bands are 3.303.62 GHz and 4.65.0 GHz for the slot mode, and 3.305.06 GHz for the in-phase current mode, the isolation is better than 19.4 dB, and the envelope correlation coefficient (ECC) is lower than 0.017 without any external decoupling structure. The average total efficiencies are better than -1.7 dB for the slot and -0.7 dB for the in-phase current. The proposed dual-band dual antenna pair exhibits a great potential to be applied in 5G MIMO mobile terminals.",
