Abstract

By means of the coordinate transformation method, displacement cloaks, which can transform an object into a much bigger illusion elsewhere, were presented and verified. The illusion possesses much stronger scatterings and is at an oblique distance from the object. In this way, detections or attacks are diverted to the non-existent illusion, rather than the true object. Full wave simulations on the basis of the finite element method verifies the designed displacement cloaks.
