Discussion on new development of connotation for intelligent switchgear

In order to comply with the demand of global climate environment, smart grid and energy saving society in China, the new developments of intelligent content switching appliance was discussed, and the direction of development of intelligent switching equipment was pointed out. The connotation of an intelligent switchgear is composed of three elements: (1)functions of intelligent sense, judgment and operation when switchgear realizes its basic function; (2)intelligent condition monitoring and life estimation during operation of switchgear; (3)being friendly to grid and environment during operation process. Being friendly to grid means that the intelligent switchgear has lower operation over-voltage and electromagnetic interference, and being friendly to environment means the application of substitute dielectric SF ₆.
