Abstract

The rates of growth of crystals of n-C198H398 from 1-phenyldecane solutions were measured as a function of initial supersaturation and crystallization temperature (Tc). Crystal dimensions were measured directly from interference contrast micrographs captured during isothermal growth. Under some conditions, the growth exhibited autocorrelation. While at low c, the growth rates increased with increasing c.
