abstract = "Boron-selective chemical transformations of di- and polyboron compounds have emerged as a useful strategy for modular assembly of complex molecules. There has been great progress in this type of approach in the last decade based on the development and discriminate utilization of various boron species. These advances have encouraged modular construction of molecular diversity and complexity from easily-prepared or commercially available building blocks, as well as led to simplifying synthetic design and experimental operations. For this reason, this chapter will survey and present an overview of representative advances in this emerging field.",
