Development and realization of a novel measurement and control method for automatic compensation arc-suppression equipment

Abstract

The technological core of automatic compensation arc-suppression equipments lies in the accurate tracing and measuring of system capacitive current to earth. In view of the limitation in present testing methods of capacitive current, a novel measuring and controlling method, which takes the impact of system damping rate into consideration, is proposed and then the method for two extinction coils operating in parallel is obtained. Based on this method, a controller for automatic compensation arc-suppression equipment is developed centering on PC 104 industrial controlling computer. Simulation tests shows that the method proposed in this paper can effectively improve the measuring precision of system capacitive current to earth.
