Abstract

Mass spectrometry, as an important analytical technique, is widely used in the fields of physics, chemistry, material science, biology, medicine, and so on. Mass spectrometry is composed of ionization technique, mass analysis technique and ion detection technique. Compared with ionization technique and mass analysis technique, ion detection technique has received less attention. The progresses in ion detection technique are reviewed in this paper in order to bring more attention to this technique.
