Abstract

Detailed analysis and the parameter design of damped LCL filters applied in three phase voltage source converters is carried out in this work. Relations between the LCL filter parameters (L1, L2, C and R) and the corresponding transfer function parameters, including ωs, ωc, ωz and ωR, are investigated mathematically and demonstrated explicitly. Based on this methodology, a reasonable and optimal design procedure is proposed. Simulation results are provided to validate the performance of the LCL filter and the design procedure.
