Abstract

By combining the on-line monitoring technology for switchgear in the past with the rapidly developing microelectronic techniques at present, this paper puts forward a design of a kind of system on chip for on-line monitoring. This chip has all the functions of sampling, measuring, alarming and communicating. Linked with a small amount of peripheral devices, it can not only monitor on-line the temperature, insulation and the mechanical of switchgears, but communicate with other computers. Compared with the on-line monitoring technology for MCU (microprogrammed control unit), the chip has more advantages, such as high reliability, flexibility and low cost and can represent the direction of the future development of on-line monitoring technology. The correctness of this design is validated through FPGA (field programmable gate array) simulation.
