Abstract
Design of a laser diode pumped 100 μJ regenerative Cr:LiSGaF femtosecond amplifier was presented. The diode bars were collimated in fast-axis by a micro-lens and in slow-axis by a lens-array, to increase the filling factor. A prism compressor and third order chirped cavity mirrors permitted simple dispersion compensation. In QCW operation with 2% output coupling, >51% slope efficiency were attained.
