Abstract

Hybrid distribution transformer(HDT) is a promising equipment for the intelligence of the future smart distribution grid, and the performance of the control system of HDT determines the success or failure of the whole grid. In this paper, a three-phase circuit scheme of HDT is presented, and the circuit equations of which in static and rotating coordinates are established based on the equivalent circuit of transformer, then the simplified block of HDT is obtained. Attaching the feed-forward controllers to the PI controller, the compounded control system of HDT in rotating d-q coordinate is obtained. Finally, the HDT control system simulation model in Matlab is established, and the waveforms of grid side current and load voltage are compared and analyzed in the case of the feed-forward controllers are adopted or not, which shows that the compounded control system of HDT has much better performance.
