Current research situation of biomass gasification in supercritical water technology for hydrogen production

Abstract

The research progress in biomass gasification in supercritical water technology for hydrogen production at home and abroad is introduced in this paper, and reaction mechanism, influencing factors, different catalysts, catalytic mechanism are commented. It is pointed out that the research on gasification reaction mechanism should be based on key compounds. Provided reactor configuration and catalyst have no change, the most important influencing factors on biomass gasification include temperature, concentration of solution, heating rate and alkali additions. It may obtain efficient catalytic gasification process that alkali additives are combined with carbon or metallic catalyst.
