Abstract

By using a photosensitizer [Ru(bpy)₃]²⁺as a template, a rare example of a three-dimensional Sn-Se type anionic framework, formulated as {Ru(bpy)₃@[Sn₄Se₉]}_n1(bpy = 2,2′-bipyridine), has been synthesized, and shows evident photocurrent response in the visible light region and related semiconducting behavior.
