Abstract

With the increasing numbers of electric vehicles and charging stations, massive data flow is transmitted between charging stations and enterprise data management centers over long distances. Electric vehicle service companies must pay a considerable expense for the data transmission. A reliable and low-cost transmission approach of the data flow is essential for these companies. Therefore, this paper proposes a coordination control approach of data flow based on a widely applied software-defined wide area network (SD-WAN) to minimize the transmission cost of data flow. Besides, the proposed method is formulated as the mixed-integer linear programming structure, which can be solved directly by commercial solvers. Numerical tests verify the efficacy of the proposed method in the stability and economy of data transmission.
