Abstract
The coordinated planning of long-term and short- term energy storage systems is significant to enhance the regulation capability of power systems. However, it's difficult to balance the time scale and time resolution in the solving process. To solve this problem, this paper proposes a coordinated planning method of electricity lines and energy storage systems based on time series aggregation. Specifically, the electricity line and long- term and short-term energy storage systems are all taken into consideration. Firstly, the yearly long-term operation model is simplified and approximated based on time series aggregation. The optimal number of clusters every month is identified based on the elbow method and the silhouette method. It composes a reconstructed time series. Then, A coordinated planning model for electricity lines and energy storage systems is established. Finally, the planning method is carried out by taking a typical provincial power system in the east of China as an example. The results show that the collaborative planning of long-term, short-term energy storage systems and electricity lines can be solved effectively and strike a balance between the time scale and time resolution. It also improves the new energy utilization and economy.
