abstract = "Aiming at the traditional 100 Hz protection using a long delay strategy without considering the limitation of AC and DC side protection cooperation, an improved 100 Hz protection scheme is proposed. In this paper, according to the transfer characteristics and equivalent impedance of the AC/DC side of the converter, combined with the fault composite sequence network, a calculation method of 100 Hz component fault current is proposed. On this basis, through cooperation with the AC side protection settings and timing, an improved 100 Hz protection scheme with short delay capability is proposed. Simulation verification shows that the protection scheme can effectively identify the asymmetric fault and valve fault on the AC side of the fault, and can be used as remote backup protection for the AC side system.",
