Abstract

Model predictive current control with constant switching frequency for a three-phase grid-connected inverter is proposed in this work. Based on a voltage vector dichotomy solution approach, the optimal voltage vector is dynamically calculated in the whole space vector circle plane in a very short time. Therefore, the proposed current control has not only fast dynamic behavior but also good steady state performance. Furthermore, there are no complex coordinate transformation and proportional integral (PI) parameters tuning in the control process. The test results verify the correctness and effectiveness of the proposed current control.
