Abstract

Lead-based reactor has many attractive features and may play an important role in the future energy supply. China has launched several LEAd-based Fast Reactor(LFR)/ADS projects including mini-reactor CLEAR-M for energy production, ADS system CLEAR-I for transmutation research and CLEAR-A for multi-purpose, etc. China Lead-based Mini-Reactor (CLEAR-M) is an advanced power-supply installation, with the electric power ranging from 1 to 100 MWe, which can be flexibly combined and loaded by containers. The typical design of CLEAR-M is named CLEAR-M10d. And the conceptual design of CLEAR-M10d is described, which is a Lead-based reactor to demonstrate small-scale energy supply of 10MWe level, with the feactures of small modular, inherent safety and long refueling period.
