Abstract
The results of the experimental study of the diffuse scattering in ferroelectric solid solutions PbZr1-xTixO3 are reported. We have used X-ray diffraction to characterize the diffuse scattering in six single-crystals with (Formula presented.). The comparison of diffuse intensity maps in almost pure lead zirconate and PbZr1-xTixO3 compounds with significant titanium doping shows that increasing lead titanate concentration gradually scales down the shape anisotropy of the scattering, but some details of the diffuse scattering that are not observed in pure PbTiO3 still remain.
