Abstract

Application of the high-effective compact recuperators is one of the key technologies for the development of microturbine in recent years. In this paper, three different heat transfer surfaces were calculated and analyzed in the given design parameters of microturbine. It was shown that the cross corrugated (CC) primary surface has the best application potential in compact recuperators of microturbine. Moreover, the influences of temperature difference on the press drop and gas bypass on thermal effectiveness were also discussed.
