Abstract

Recently electric vehicles (EVs) have been greatly promoted and employed in the whole society. EVs are classified into four categories according to distinct driving characteristics and charging requirements in this paper. The price elasticity of EV charging demand is taken into account by introducing demand function according to microeconomics. Besides, the EV parking lot operator design the limit of the charging price depending on its profit requirements and EV user acceptance. Then the optimum charging price determination and energy management of EV parking lot is investigated through an optimization model aiming at profit maximization. To validate the proposed model, a case study is conducted and the results are analyzed to draw the conclusions.
