Abstract

The multiplexing efficiency has been proposed for characterizations of multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) antennas. It has only been partially verified by measurements previously. In this paper, we complement the measurement-based verification. In addition, it is recognized that the multiplexing efficiency is a harmonic mean of the antenna branch powers, implying that the throughput performance of an MIMO system is dominated by the worst antenna branch.
