Abstract
Sinowilsonia henryi, :belonging to the genus Sinowilsonia, is an endangered species endemic to China. In this study, the complete chloroplast (cp) genome of Sinowilsonia henryi (Hamamelidaceae) was obtained based on the Illumina sequencing. The complete chloroplast genome of S. henryi was 159,699 bp in length and contained a pair of IR regions (26,142 bp) which were separated by a small single copy (SSC) region (19,083 bp) and a large single copy (LSC) region (88,332 bp). The cp genome of S. henryi encoded 132 genes including 86 protein-coding genes, 37 tRNA genes and eight rRNA genes. The overall GC content of S. henryi cp genome is 38.1%. The phylogenetic analysis based on 25 chloroplast genomes revealed that S. henryi was closely related to Liquidambar formosana.
