Abstract

This study simulated the process of liquid continuously passing through a pore on the plate. By setting hydrophilic and hydrophobic conditions for the surface of plate and pore, the flow characteristics of the liquid flowing through the hydrophilic/hydrophobic pore were studied. The study shows that at a low initial velocity, the diameter of the liquid column under the plate is smaller than that of the liquid column under hydrophilic condition, and its diameter is approximately equal to the minimum diameter of the pore. With the initial velocity increasing, the infiltration range the diameter of the liquid column under the hydrophilic condition decrease gradually.
