Abstract
The pressure distribution was solved by using boundary element method. The treatment of boundary conditions was introduced and the influence of dimensional parameters on bearing's performance, such as load-carrying capacity, flow rate and frictional torque, were discussed. Finally, a spiral groove thrust bearing of varying depth was chosen as an example of the application of the method.
